The last couple of times I've gone to B.B. Rover's open mic on a night that I wasn't supposed to host, I ended up hosting anyway because the regularly scheduled host failed to show. This has made me a little hesitant to go there on my off Sundays.
Tonight, however, I'm glad I went. It was a small crowd, but a good evening. I played the Devil for Kaye's "Sinner's Song," which is always fun. I also played a few of my rarely heard serious and/or sad songs, but I ended my set with "Hot Pepper Tamale."
