Special thanks to our friends Kaye Reznick and Paul Teneyuque who also performed that night. We closed the evening performing with one of the best blues harp players I've ever met, Kevin Marin, whom we hope will come back to Austin soon.
After months of rehearsals, rescheduling, and regrets, David, Richard and I finally gave our first public performance as Thickety Creek. We played at B.B. Rover's Cafe & Pub, using my night to host open mic as our launch pad. We had a great crowd and a great time.

This is my first attempt to blog (a contraction formed, apparently, from the words web and log--I guess "wog" was already taken). I doubt I'll ever be controversial enough to merit comments from people, but that doesn't preclude the possibility of the conservatives labeling me a liberal or the liberals labeling me a conservative.
For the record, I think both groups are insane. |
