December was a rather slow month for the Kaye Pasa Trio, and we're all looking forward to (hopefully) a much better and busier year in 2018.

Despite rain (all damn day), we managed to pull a couple of dozen friends and fans at our final 2017 gig at Twin Creeks Icehouse. Thanks to everyone who braved the wet weather.

The Austin Ukulele Society Ensemble performed at City Hall this evening. In Austin (a.k.a. "The Live Music Capital of the World"), the city council invites one group to perform one song during a break in the city council meeting. The mayor also proclaimed it Austin Ukulele Society Day.

Afterward, a few of us went out for a drink and were treated to the rare sight of snow falling in Austin. It was beautiful. By the time I got home, most of the city received a light dusting, including the Buick on my driveway and a little snow in my backyard.
