Tommy said it has an almost John Prine quality to it. For me, it's a love letter to all the friends I've made in and around the Austin music scene who helped me find myself again after Sheri's death.
I have spent the past three weeks writing and rehearsing my newest song, Too Young to Quit Singing, in preparation for today's trip to Byrd House Studio. After two-and-a-half hours, I emerged with what I think is a pretty darn good recording of a pretty darn good song.

With over 100 ukers present, I performed David's song, You Little Ukulele, You at tonight's meeting of the Austin Ukulele Society. This may have been the largest crowd for which I've ever performed solo. Not only did I manage to pull off the song, but I received the loudest and longest applause I'd ever heard at one of these meetings. Good job, me.
