Self and some members of TUG (Tuesday Uke Group) performing the Hee Haw classic, "Pfft! You Were Gone" at the February meeting of the Austin Ukulele Society. Very romantic.

Sadly, we did not watch The Ed Sullivan Show at my house when I was growing up. I wouldn't find out about some new "weird" music group called The Beatles until my friends at school (many of whom had older sisters) started talking about it the next day.
My best guess is that we watched My Favorite Martian and then switched channels to the middle of a repeat episode on The Wonderful World of Disney. Yuck. Just finished a great weekend. Richard Leslie came down yesterday, and we worked on his song, "Mississippi de Tejas." Later we went to see Byrd & Street perform at NeWorlDeli.
Tonight, I went to Twin Creeks Hall for the open mic hosted by Clyde and got to see Paul and Kaye, too. |
