Although this staged photo shows me on Dave Jutras' bass guitar, I believe "Leave a Message at the Tone" was the only song in which I played bass and Dave played drums. The rest of the night, the co-owner of the Jam Station played drums for us. We had never practiced with him, and I had never shared a stage with a drummer. I remember being surprised that I could feel the beat through the floor of the stage.
On April 20, 2009, I played for the first time: on a real stage, in front of (some) strangers, bass guitar (for some songs), and with a drummer. Drinks on the House called it our Fan Appreciation Party, and it was the only time we lived up to our name because we bought a keg for the show.
