The Austin Ukulele Society gathered at its regular second-Thursday meeting to learn an old 1980s pop song, Madonna's "Material Girl." Lotsa fun.

Enjoyed playing with the amazing Kevin Marin again last night. We played at Bob Case's open mic at Hardtails in Georgetown. Great fun.
Kevin Marin, harmonica player extraordinaire, was in town last night. He joined The Kaye Pasa Trio on stage at Twin Creeks Icehouse for a few songs, and later played with Paul Logan, too. Great time at the Creek, and a perfect end to a very musical weekend for me.
SIDE NOTE: I don't think any of us were wearing green that night (maybe Paul's tee shirt), but the stage lights made us look like picked our own color scheme for the evening. Had a fantastic time presenting the Honky Tonk Hymnal in its entirety to a large, appreciative crowd at Four Bullets Brewery in Richardson, Texas today. Lynette & Lefty were fantastic (as usual), and the synergy between audience and performers was incredible. After our time on stage, the Happy Hour Ukuleles (Four Bullets' band in residence) took over, and the fun just kept coming. Great time for all involved.
